In 2008, Jonathan co-founded Myaxs, a leading Canadian loyalty and e-commerce enablement company. Under his watch, Myaxs grew into a global powerhouse in the loyalty space with $50 million in sales by 2014. Prior to starting Myaxs, Jonathan created the Incentive and Loyalty division of Pareto, which he grew to more than $20 million in sales in a span of just three years. He also served as the Managing Director of New Business at Maritz Canada, where he grew his division from $15 million to $35 million in four years.
Today, Jonathan leads long-term corporate strategy, marketing and sales at Engage People, where he is charged with helping to redefine the value of loyalty reward points by creating an entirely new ecosystem where banks, retailers and their customers all benefit from the concept of ‘Pay with Points’. Under Jonathan’s leadership, the company has partnered with the likes of Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Visa, Master Card, PayPal, FreedomPay, Bank of America, TD and RBC.
Engage’s use of technology gives consumers the flexibility to spend points just as they would any other currency, which positions the company at the forefront of the ‘Pay with Points’ revolution. Engage serves as a connector between retailers, e-commerce sites, financial institutions, and their customers to allow consumers to redeem rewards points as a form of payment during the checkout process, just as easily as you would pay with a bank account, debit, credit card, or gift card.
